Susan Monarez, the deputy director for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health since January 2023, has been tapped as acting director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to three people familiar with the move, granted anonymity to discuss the pick, which has yet to be announced publicly.
